About us

Founded in 2009 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Embrace HR Limited strives to deliver a first-class service to all clients, whether that’s through providing them with good-quality interview candidates, or arranging their HR services on an ad-hoc basis.

Embrace HR is a company of experienced CIPD-qualified human resources consultants who work with SMEs in order to provide them with HR services on a personalised basis. Whether it is a few days a week, a few hours a month, or a few days a month, we can provide the support required.
Embrace founder Cecily Lalloo has worked in the Human Resources arena for 20 years. With many years of experience as a HR Manager, she has an extensive knowledge of the kind of HR support companies need.

Cecily has worked for many years with SME’s whose senior management have great expertise and knowledge in their chosen fields, but need support when recruiting staff, complying with employment law, and retaining their best asset – their people. Her input has enabled her clients to concentrate on running the business, leaving her to deal with any HR issues.

Cecily and her team can help clients to comply with their employment obligations and ensure they are providing best practice. This includes areas such as employment law, learning and development and resourcing. They can help with introducing policies and procedures, promote health and wellbeing initiatives, and implement and manage family-friendly policies such as maternity and paternity leave.

Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Embrace HR is ideally placed to help businesses in Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Tring, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Chesham, St Albans, Oxford, Thame, Haddenham, Oxford, High Wycombe, and London, as well as all the surrounding areas.

What people say …

I am writing to acknowledge the services of Embrace HR and express my gratitude.

I would not hesitate to recommend your company to others following the service you have supplied in support of my business and my clients.

Working within the care sector brings an HR provider additional challenges. This does not just involve complex knowledge of the recruitment and employment issues for the staff engaged but also the complications of dealing with exceptionally vulnerable people and difficult family dynamics surrounding the employees.

Embrace HR has delivered an exceptionally personal and flexible service in this respect. Cecily and the Embrace HR team has been empathic and responsive to the unique customer needs. This has involved supporting highly bespoke organisation for a 24 hour care team in liaison with legal and professional partners, family members and care workers.
Each contact has required a specific approach and relevant support and information. I have found Embrace sensitive, receptive and highly professional to this at all times.

The HR arrangement, support, communication and advice I have personally received has made my job a good deal easier, freeing me up to deal with my own professional priorities.

I have already recommended the service to others and look forward to working in partnership with Embrace HR into the future.

What people say …

Having received a stack of “issues” thrust upon me by my part-time zero hour fitness employer, resulting in their decision that I should be dismissed for “gross misconduct”. I was frankly initially reeling and basically in shock. Having met Cecily Lalloo at a networking meeting, I knew she was the right person to help me.

Cecily, despite being very busy, immediately looked through the paperwork that had been issued to me, and guided me to write my position on each allegation.

Within 24 hours one of Cecily’s team wrote to me in detail regarding my situation and ensured that I knew my rights as an employee. She also supported my position – from her impartial and professional point of view – that there were more than one peculiarities in the nature of the allegations against me and the manner in which they were being brought against me.

It was Cecily’s and her colleagues opinion that I should seek some detailed legal advice. In spite of referring me, Cecily’s support did not end. She has in fact been in contact with me throughout the process right up until it was resolved late last week.  Cecily, in particular was a real comfort and support to me at a time when I was being made to feel quite isolated.

I cannot recommend Cecily and her team strongly enough.

What people say …

“We convened a workshop at Middlesex University in October, 2016, to investigate ways in which workplace maternity can be advanced. The workshop was funded by the British Academy, to which we are grateful. It brought researchers and practitioners together to explore this important question. We invited organisations with a focus on championing women’s rights and work life balance, small firms, HR advisers and researchers from several UK universities to attend the workshop. Researchers and stakeholders from Malaysia were also present, enriching the mix of participants. Our Malaysian counterparts wanted to understand experience with maternity in UK firms, with a view to adapting practices for the Malaysian context.
We approached Cecily, as founder of Embrace HR, to participate in the workshop. In particular, we were interested to hear her experience in working with smaller firms, and her knowledge and insight into the barriers and challenges they faced when implementing maternity friendly policies.
Cecily was passionate about advancing the maternity needs of women employees. She contributed to the rich discussions at the workshop and shared with participants the many instances where she helped client-firms to modify their practices to accommodate the needs of pregnant employees. She also felt that advancing maternity is a complex task, requiring first, a recognition that maternity is an area deserving of protection.
Workshop participants all benefitted immensely from discussions on practical and low-cost strategies which can be adopted to improve maternity in the UK and Malaysian workplace.
We are now entering the final stage of the project, where results are being written up and disseminated in published form.
Our thanks to Cecily for enriching our experience and for contributing to the project.

What people say …

I have had the pleasure in working with Cecily Lalloo for a number of years and used Embrace HR on many occasions for HR advice.

Over the years Cecily has provided our company with valuable HR support and delivered a number of in house training workshops for our company, all to a consistently high standard.

Cecily acted as my mentor whilst studying for my CIPD level 5 in 2015 and I honestly would not have been in the position I am today without her continued support and motivation.

Cecily is easy to engage with and has substantial and in-depth knowledge of HR and will always go the extra mile. She is a genuine, honest person and I would have no hesitation in recommending Embrace HR.

What people say …

I have worked with Cecily and Embrace HR for a number of years now. After several months of working unsuccessfully with another consultant to complete our HR manual & processes – we asked Cecily for her help to take over this project. She completed it in the required timescales and her and her team helped us roll out the process to the whole company.

In addition she provided confidential advice on a number of HR matters. I trusted her implicitly to undertake the work required and she became a useful sounding board and a good friend to the business.

She also acted as an HR mentor to our newly appointed HR manager and helped her qualify to take on a full-time HR  role in the business.

I have no hesitation in recommending Cecily and her team.

What people say …

Embrace HR initially helped us write our employment contracts and employee handbooks. Since then I have opted to outsource all my HR requirements to Embrace HR.
Cecily and her team have been extremely helpful in dealing with delicate disciplinary and grievance situations as well as bringing on board external legal advice when necessary.
No business should be ignorant of their HR duties, and it is with great confidence that I can recommend the Embrace HR suite of services.

What people say …

Cecily at Embrace HR really helped our company with managing new employees from contracts to holiday entitlement. We have expanded relatively fast over the last couple of years to 10 full-time employees and this process would have been difficult without Embrace HR’s monthly support.
